As the Director of Continuing Care, Alex Contino brings extensive experience and a profound commitment to supporting individuals on their recovery journey. With a career spanning over seven years, Alex’s path in the field commenced in Los Angeles before he returned to his home state of New York in 2018 to join Ascendant. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University, which has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding addiction, mental health, and best practices in case management to support a client’s clinical care.
With a compassionate and client-centered approach, Alex strives to create an environment of trust, empathy, and understanding. He works collaboratively with clients, their families, and the Ascendant team to ensure seamless transitions within a client’s care, prioritizing their well-being and long-term recovery. In his free time, Alex finds joy in engaging in various activities that bring balance and fulfillment to his life. He has a passion for golf, finding solace and relaxation on the course.
Alex also enjoys playing basketball, as it allows him to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, he embraces the pleasures of travel and exploring different cities and cuisines, broadening his horizons and cultivating a sense of adventure.
