With a specialized focus on substance abuse and the unique way it impacts the lives of her clients, Liz uses a psychodynamic approach incorporating elements of internal family systems, attachment theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy into her clinical practice. After graduating from New York University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Liz has continued to develop the skills she learned working in medically supervised detox as a clinical social work intern at Ascendant through branching out into the inpatient rehabilitation and intensive outpatient levels of care. Working in all levels of care has afforded Liz the opportunity to help guide her clients through each step of their recovery process. In her free time Liz enjoys travel, design, and trying new restaurants.
